Dongčangan je centralni od desetak pekinških bulevara. Od „beskrajnog mira“ tu nema ničega jer je nezamislivo širok, zbog hiljada pešaka, biciklista, motociklista i automobila. Ukrašavaju ga neke od najznačajnijih građevina stare i savremene Kine.
